Diane Brink

Diane Brink is currently Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University

Ms. Brink is currently Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Belden (NYSE: BDC), a signal transmission solutions provider with a complete portfolio of connectivity and networking products into a variety of markets, including industrial, enterprise and broadcast. Ms Brink also consults with startups, private and public businesses helping to take companies to the next level of growth and greatness.

Ms. Brink served as Chief Marketing Officer for IBM Global Technology Services. She retired from IBM in February, 2015. Her market centric approach led to the redesign of the legacy infrastructure services business to high growth segments including cloud computing, security, resiliency, and mobility. She also led IBM’s marketing and communications efforts for Energy, the Environment and Sustainability. 

Prior to this position, Diane was Vice President, World Wide Integrated Marketing Communications. She was responsible for leading and overseeing the IBM Brand, and all marketing communications activity across IBM’s business units and geographies. 

Throughout her thirty-five year career with IBM, Ms. Brink held a variety of leadership positions including VP Marketing and Strategy for IBM Americas, VP Operations, Worldwide Systems Sales, VP Distribution Channels Marketing, VP Systems Sales for the Northeastern Area, Director, Direct Marketing and ibm.com, and General Manager, Mid-Market in the Midwestern Area.  

Ms. Brink began her career as a programmer. She is a member of the Dean’s Council at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) at Stony Brook University.  Ms. Brink is a Governance Fellow with the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).  She was a board member to the Advanced Energy Research & Technology Center (AERTC) at Stony Brook University, the ANA and the Iona Preparatory School.

Ms. Brink has a BS in Computer Science from Stony Brook University and an MBA in Finance from Fordham University.
