CEAS Policy on Rescinding Scholarships

Students are informed of the scholarship criteria when they receive their award letters. Any student who no longer meets the requirements of the scholarship (e.g. if a student changes major, graduates, moves on to a graduate program or fails to maintain the required GPA) will have his/her scholarship rescinded.

If a student makes a significant improvement in his/her grades and cumulative GPA he/she may petition to the Undergraduate Student Office to have his/her scholarship reinstated. Reinstatement of a scholarship is not guaranteed and is contingent upon available funding.

A student’s scholarship will also be rescinded if a notation of academic dishonesty appears on the student transcript. In such a case, the student will be notified by letter and there will be no opportunity for restoration of the scholarship.
