SPIR, in partnership with the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS), hosted the next installment of their Lunch and Learn series for biomedical engineering students at the Health Science Center at Stony Brook University.
On December 6, 2023, SPIR Director Dr. Lisa Chichura gathered undergraduates, graduates and PhD students to learn from industry experts in the biomedical engineering field.

 

Judy Murrah, COO of Applied DNA Sciences, engaged with the group of biomedical engineering students first and presented the development of Applied DNA Sciences's DNA tagging process that has helped maintain supply chain control.

 

Following Judy Murrah, Ray Sambrotto, Founder and CSO of Allied Microbiota, engaged with the group to discuss Allied Microbiota's work in using microbes for bioremediation.

 

Finally, Kara Cannon, CEO of Enzo Biochem, Inc., spoke about Enzo Biochem's work in intellectual property within the biomedical field.
