1. Kinect-based Motion Capture

Hardware Requirements

  • This tool has been developed on 64-bit Windows 10 OS, and tested on Windows 8.1 OS.
  • Kinect v2 requires a USB 3.0 port.
  • Kinect hardware is compatible with Windows 8 and Windows 10.
  • It has been developed using Kinect v2 sensor, but not yet tested using Kinect Xbox one (recently released).

Instructions for download and install

  1. Download and install Kinect for Windows Runtime 2.0 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44559
  2. Download this .zip file and extract the contents in a new folder. Run the Motion Capture.exe file.

 

2. MotionGen for iOS and Android

• MotionGen is an iOS and Android app for synthesizing and simulating planar four-bar linkages.

• It solves the motion generation problem for N-position problems.

• Incorporates  fixed- and moving-pivot and line constraints for 3 and 4 position problems.

• Use MotionGen to design and simulate single degree of freedom linkages for your robot or machine.

3. 4MDS Software Download

Please download the following .zip file, extract in a new folder on your machine, and run the 4MDS.exe file. The program should work on a MS Windows 32/64 bit machine.
